Wondercabinet developed the conceptual design for the planned Wires and Tires Traveling Exhibit,
organized by four thematic areas. The Overview area highlights the car as a cultural icon. Small scaled billboards use mock advertisements
to relate the history of technological innovations. Under a car mounted on
pedestals, visitor can view an introductory video.
In the Wired Cars area visitors drive arcade-style networked cars while completing a variety of
network-reliant tasks.
The New Car Design Technologies area spotlights cutting-edge car engines,
fuels and materials. Visitors build model cars and test them on race tracks and in a wind tunnel.
The synergy among different alternative transportation models is the focus of the New Mobility
area. Visitors learn about alternative transportation models and can get involved in a
town-in-the-round discussion of how to handle the transportation needs of a community.
