Based on Lewis Carroll's classic children's book, this exhibition is filled with numerous
interactive elements and hands-on activities. The immersive, whimsical environment surprises
and delights visitors with puzzles, riddles, and unexpected perspectives.
The exhibition encourages children to use both fine and large motor skills and challenges
them with age-appropriate activities involving literacy, numeracy, and the concepts of time,
pattern-making, and cause and effect. In addition, parents are challenged to look at the
world of Wonderland from the viewpoint of a child--a world that can often seem strange and
nonsensical.
This exhibit received the Award of Merit, the highest award granted by the
Pennsylvania Historic and Museum Commission.
