Play & Imagination promotes the inherent value of play. It is a unique exhibit where we designed opportunities for children to create their own play and experiences. The gallery design will encourage visitors to play with the exhibits structures using ordinary materials--cardboard boxes, chain link fence, telephone books, bed sheets, toilet plungers, and river stones--in unexpected ways. The gallery is meant to serve as an antidote to the over-structured play environments in many children's lives.

The Toddler Gallery is designed especially for children from infants through four years old, and their caregivers. It is a little kids' version of Play & Imagination, offering familiar materials and environments that can be used in unexpected ways.
