The Lowell National Historic Park preserves and interprets the historical and cultural sites
in Lowell, Massachusetts, the most significant planned industrial city in the United States.
At several sites throughout the city, the Park tells the human story of the industrial
revolution and the changing role of technology in a 19th-and 20th-century setting.
Working with the National Park Service, Wondercabinet redesigned the Visitor Center to
improve orientation and interpretation. The orientation map and kiosks are integrated
with the interpretive exhibits that represent the Lowell's significant stories: the textile mills, the rivers and canals, and the working people of
Lowell. Exhibits engage visitors with the Park's stories, and promote visitation
to the Park's multiple sites and to other points of interest in the city.
