Wondercabinet has been working with the Boston National Historical Park on several projects at
the Charlestown Navy Yard. The National Park Service manages 30 acres of the historic
yard as a living museum of the Navy's activities.
We provided exhibit design services for refurbishing and moving the existing Serving the
Fleet exhibit to a new Visitor Center at the Navy Yard. While the general story remains
the same, the new exhibit includes completely redesigned interpretive graphics, audio
programs, photo murals and new hands-on interactives. Interpretive exhibits link to
orientation information for the Park's Navy Yard attractions, and to other sites
near this section of the Freedom Trail, such as the USS Constitution and the Bunker
Hill Monument and Museum.
Wondercabinet also created an exhibit plan and space allocation assessment for the Navy
Yard's historic ropewalk building, to facilitate the building's future development.
